The Emperor pub dates back about 300 years, it was first known as “The Brickmakers Arms”, this changed to “The King of Prussia” at the end of the 19th century. During WWI it was changed to “The Emperor of India” and is believed to be the only inn with this name in the United Kingdom.
At the beginning of the century, it was shortened to “The Emperor”. Known in the area for its beautiful garden, this walker-friendly pub is minutes from the scenic Burnham Beeches. We are a “well behaved dog” friendly pub with space in the bar area and gardens. We also have a heated gazebo for those not so warm days.

Planning an event? Impress your guests with our Barn filled with charm and character! We can host 40 people for seated functions, and up to 80 for standing functions. Bespoke menus are available on request, and all dietary needs can be catered for. We can cater to wedding parties, engagements, fundraisers, charity events, wakes, christenings, birthdays, anniversary meals, corporate events and business meetings.
